Well, all of the major and independent companies are now using biodegradable fluid, and Tejas Elevator services these elevators, unless they get modernized.
-
@CaptainElevator42189 And if TK is maintaining this, then they have an opt. for biodegradable hydraulic fluid. They could convert it to holeless and then use that oil.

@CaptainElevator42189 VERY stupid move. First of all, if you read Suzzex's rant, you will find out that MRLs are just horrible. Secondly, it's THEIR fault of not calling Tejas to maintain this periodically. So they have to pay for it. They also should have gone holeless or roped.

They need to get that fixed ASAP, but couldn't they just program it to return to 1 like some elevators do?
-
Yes, and unfortunately for its age of only 12 years, replace it with a machine roomless traction elevator.
-
They should do something about it ASAP. There are some people dumb enough not to send it back down to 1.

Yes, this is a death trap, especially without the lights. Also, leaking hydraulic fluid can be an environmental danger, and a sign on the main floor door said "After using this elevator, please send it down to 1, because of hydraulic fluid leaking risk." Now does that sound like a safe elevator you want to be on? I think not at all.
Wonderful, and I've recently rode a Dover elevator that has impulse fixture with lights off, and making it my first twilight ride!

Amazing, and I just went on a Kone elevator with an open service cabinet. So, I switched off the light switch, did a twilight ride, and then turned the lights back on.

Yes, I totally agree about this.
