  • this is what USA should spend money on: Top notch Engineering and ingenuity. The stuff dreams are made of, that inspires people around the globe.

Enough with the BS wars (Iraq, Iran or whatever), spend money on renewable energy, electric vehicles, cheap space flights, etc etc

  • they are, the James Webb Space Telescope.

  • well, I can't give out who my dad is on the internet but he worked on the STIS instrument I think and also worked with the astronauts.

  • Honestly I read that the first information will arrive at earth in September of this year, and I'm guessing from stumbo that they wont be released until next year

  • all photos captured by hubble are reserved for scientific inspection for a year before they are released to the general public.

  • they are, however it wont be like hubble, the pics to us will just be rubbish, but to a scientist that understands what they are looking at, it will be sweet.

  • i wonder when will start seeing photos from the upgraded hubble??

  • This is the continuation of mankinds reach for the stars, Hubble is paving the way for future technology and exploration.

  • My dad worked on it too! He spent eight years on Widefield, and he's the one speaking at 1:33. What was your dad working on?
