i know that prblem.. i just close down the game restart pc and its fixed.. dont know if it helps you or if im too late..

After you set your god damn options...... Restart the game! Jeez, this happened to me, but the solution is so obvious! :/

If you are running in Vista try forcing on DirectX 9 by running Crysis.exe with the -dx9 switch. After trying different things for about a month this finally fixed it for me.

Thank you, but this isn't a real solution, its to much hassle. I hope they'll at least fix this with Crysis 2.

i have too a problem but i cant start the game then when i make dubble click on game comes not the menu but a blackscreen and the red crysis mouse !!!!!
My Systems:
2x 1.8 ghz cpu
2000mb ram
geforce 9600gt (512mb gddr3)
Windows 7 32bit
(but at windwos xp the game was still working!!)
