The Buffalo Zoo, with a grant from Association of Zoos and Aquariums, teams with the Roger Tory Peterson Institute of Natural History, NYS DEC, and University at Buffalo to recruit, train and support volunteer citizen scientists to monitor Western New York frog and salamander populations for amphibian chytrid (Bd) fungus infection, which is ravaging amphibians worldwide.
