Sam Ogden, contributing writer for the wildly popular skeptical blog, Skepchick, sits down with Dr. Eugenie Scott of the National Center for Science Education for a conversation about the NCSE, the evolution of the creationist movement, women in science and skepticism, and more. Part I covers the Texas State Board of Education's hearings to adopt guidelines for the science curriculum in Texas, and the implications for the entire US that sprang from those hearings.

  • @triclops12 Resistance is futile. You will be assimilated.

  • @pirbird14 Ladies and gentlemen, an example of the vast intelligence that atheism stands against. In my humble opinion, i think we are doomed against such brilliance like pirbird has shown

  • Fantastic job, Sam and Chris (the camera man).

  • I love eugene, my favorite advocate of science, and outspoken atheist.

  • Thanks, Sam, for doing this interview! Thanks, Rebecca, for posting it! But most of all, thanks Genie, Josh, and everyone else at the NCSE, for your tireless efforts to stand up for real science across 3 decades! I'm just sorry that you still have to do this in the 21st century.

  • my first response had been a Poe's Law example..thanks for confirming
