MONUMENT OF CORRUPTION?

Touted as the "biggest white elephant project" in the country, the Bataan Nuclear Power Plant was constructed supposedly to address the power crisis back in the 70's. Over one hundred billion pesos was added to the national debt because of its construction. But even before it became operational, allegations of widespread corruption and environmental concerns tainted the project and it never saw the light of day. Now, efforts are being made to resurrect the nuclear plant which will entail billions of pesos. Will this revival of the plant again be seen as a source of corruption?
