this is not true ,unfortunatley..or fortunatley!
we do not follow 1 countrys sighting but the sighting in our own locality..its really simple ..its like saying today is tuesday, but because in mecca it is wednesday, then its wednesday all over the world. a phisical impossibillity.

brothers and sisters! whats the problem of following the sunnah of Muhammed, peace and blessings b upon him, and the sahabi, r,a? eid cannot b the same day all over the world!.for instance ,how do we know if a month is 29 or 30 days??? by sighting the hilal! there is no problem with sticking to your locality for hilal sighting, the problem is with sighting the moon on the other side of the world, when it has not been sighted or 29-30 counted to end the month of ramadan .any month for that matter.

Eid mubark from pakistan today is eid gotta go

Agree with you totally--it should be with the citing of the moon in Makkah. I really hope we Muslims come together on this. God has commanded us to use our intelligence.
-
Because Rasulullah (Salallahu Alayhi Wasallam) told us to follow our moonsighting, not the moonsighting of Makkah. :)

happy eid for all muslim people

Makkah is the centre of islam so whats wrong with following saudi arabia who holds their moon sighting in the holiest city?

brothers ,sisters, lets not leave the sunnah, and celebrate eid in our localitys, it was not a problem 1400 years ago, but all of a sudden its a problem?..1 eid all over the world is a bida..not even a good 1 at that. it has led to people in my own locality celebrating eid on different days according to the country they were born? wats goin on..
may Allah t`ala ,guide and forgive us all..

Mecca already had her Eid prayer hours ago =)
salam.
It means, all muslims should celebrate EID, on the same day as every other muslim in the world, no one should do it 1 day before or 1 day after, Hope this answers.
