pitch black is first, then dark fury and the Chronicles of Riddick, in the same year, there was Butcher Bay, now there is assault on dark athena.

The game before this is one of my favourites of all time. (Escape from butcher bay)

There's also Dark Fury, the cartoon film. It's a nice fill in to part of the story that would have otherwise not been told.
