Nice try guys, sometimes covers are better than the original, but this is Richard Thompsons song and nobody does it better, check out his solo version, Seattle 1990.

@vlock1 hey , i wanted to reply b/c i am a huge RT fan & have seen him live w/a variety of backing bands & solo. I would only bring this up to other RT fans who know how truly great he is - I also feel like some of his songs don't live up to their true level with the different backing bands or when done acoustically. This could just illustrate how perfect he gets it with certain arrangements & instrumentation. Some of his songs need a woman singing w/him & not just ones that Linda sang on...

@cedronar:Er...no, they don't play it better than RT, Los Lobos are good, but cannot carry this track. Watch RT's version Austin Texas, you'll be amazed by the emotional intensity, even during a mishap (seen but not heard) during mid-solo. RT blows these guys into the stone age!
