Probably the shortest video I've ever put up here.
For once I got the Sans-Paireil roundabout with no real queue. Cars did not stack up on either side of me within the single-lane entry to the roundabout, and considering that this was my first day on the CBF600 to work (about two weeks ago) in the rain, I felt myself pretty fortunate.
Until this guy came out of no where - I was already on the roundabout, accelerating in an otherwise totally clear road and already half-way across the central-reservation space that divides the dual-carriage ways to the left.
I reckon that this guy must have come out of the queuing traffic some way back, at high speed - he actually braked quite immediately before the roundabout for a second, looked me straight in the face, them put his foot down again. If I was a little way further forward, or accelerating at a higher rate (which I wasn't purely because it was the first day on the bike in commuting traffic) there is no way that he would have been able to stop.
