@ZnaxQue It depends on where the heads are on the disk when power's lost.
For example, in this video they were across the disk from the LZ, so it took a bit before it knocked.
Conversely, if the heads are already almost there, it'll knock a lot longer and sooner.

good to see that mines fine yours makes the same knocking noise when you turn it off so i assume its not a problem

@ST0N3R420X420 That knock is the autopark working.
As the drive runs down, the spindle turns into a generator, running the stepper motor toward the Landing Zone of the disk. When it gets there it hits the endstop - and tries to keep going. The stepper motor rattles against this stop for what's left of the power it's receiving, making the distinctive knock. It's harmless and part of the disk design.
