They're all based on fairy tales by the Brothers Grimm.

this has to be an adaptation from the luck child (jim henson, john hurt) superb tho :)

Jackanory just doesn't compare...
I like the fact that these are all actual Brothers Grimm tales (but they're adapted for children's innocent ears, obviously, which just makes it more fun)
I loved these when I was a kid. Made me laugh so much.
