This video features the "Orange Blossom Special", but we here in the Orlando area call it "Old Duke". The Orange Blossom Special was a line that catered to those that could afford it. The Orange Blossom Special was run by the Seaboard Air Line Railway and ran from New York to Miami. This engine didn't run the Orange Blossom Special. It actually came from the St. Louis and San Fransisco line. It's model number is 3749 and runs a 0-6-0 wheel configuration and can run between a 4-8.5 foot gauge. This section that ran to Tampa and St Petersburg (and through Orlando) only opperated during the winter months only. The Amtrak train is the Silver Meteor. Unfortunately, it seems the steam locomotive has had a number of different alterations. For one, the "cow pusher" was an add on, and the builder plates on the boiler don't match. The one on the left says "Baldwin 1913 CN:3969" and the one on the right says "Baldwin 1925 CN: 58489"
I believe that the two story train station is actually an addition to the older one story station that's directly behind it. Also the two story structure is being renovated for a new light rail system for downtown Orlando. Finally we get something that we Orlando area residents can use as well as the tourists.
Old L&N switcher engine. Sold to Rosie O'Grady's which was also in Pensacola.

@oversearailway Bob Snow's first Rosie O'Grady's was in Pensacola, then he came down here to Orlando where he really hit it big with Rosie O'Grady's, then Cheyenne Saloon, then the Church Street Marketplace as well as another venue behind Rosie's. Unfortunately, his downfall began when he tried to build one out west which failed. Thanks for letting me know about the L&N switcher. I only wished they had restored it to what it was and not altered it by adding that cow catcher on the front.

@oversearailway So by it being an old switcher engine meant that it just moved rail cars around the yard?

You know they are selling those cars off now.

Are they just selling off the passenger cars or the whole thing? I hope they atleast keep the engine and coal car. I think the station and engine together look pretty good.
