Texas Governor Rick Perry tried to fast-track the approval of 19 new, 19th century type coal plants which would add devastating quantities of air pollution to the state. Several citizen groups took the governor to court in an effort to get an injunction against the fast-tracking. This video tells the story.
thank you for posting this piece, ric. Del, i love the sayings about the 7th generation, but don't think the sense of love and concern for future generations is lost in any of us. deep down inside we want to do what it takes. let's think-- and organise for heaven's and the future's sake.

We eradicated their culture and sent the surviving, though broken, tribes to wallow on barren land. That's what happened to the Native American ethos.

Whatever happened to the old Native American "7th Generation" focus? These folks aren't even thinking about THIS generation, much less 6 more down the line. Keep up the good work on exposing this poisoning of our present and future.

Why won't these bigwigs funnel all this money into solar and wind power technology? It's free and limitless. You don't have to invade other countries to get it, and there's no pollution. THAT is a no-brainer!!
