Parramatta City Pt 1 (Garbage Collection)

Parramatta begun their contract with Cleanaway in 2007 after snatching it up from WSN. Over there they have the 3-bin-system and a series of bulk waste pick-ups each year, which is taken care of by a fleet of mainly new trucks.

The first truck I came across when I was in Parramatta was this refurbished Sidepak, which was collecting the garbage during the late morning of that Friday. The stumpy/shorter bins you will see reflect the newer version of a 140L and the tall ones reflect the old version.

great to see the trucks are out - the logan city ones use the same make of truck but the bodies are far different - they're fitting them with water jets to blow the lids open - seen a few afield but haven't got any videos

@erikals2 Mate if you could get some videos of those trucks before the end of this month you would be a bloody legend. The trucks with the white body and yellow cab are the ones I'm talking about, they're getting replaced soon and are one of a kind. Gotta have some decent footage on here for the record...

@erikals2 Ah that's alright, I was under the impression you lived in the council. They are renewing their waste contract with JJ Richards next month and they will be using seperate bins for garbage and recycling.

Mitch, when Cleanaway took the contract from WSN, where does JJ Richards come in the mix. These are Richards owned bins but not anymore.
