From the amazing repertoire of the master Klezmer clarinet player Naftule Brandwein. This tune is also sometimes refered to as Purim Nign. These melodies are fun and challenging to learn on the mandolin.

  • Nice. Great feel and tone.

  • excellente musique! merci beaucoup!

  • sounds good! i'm trying to learn klezmer mandolin as well.

good rhythm, btw. i find this piece is usually played stupidly fast!

  • Thanks for the tip! I just ordered the book and CD. I am looking forward to it!

  • A REALLY good book I can reccomend,is called "The Compleat klezmer" by Henry Sapoznik, Tara Publications,1987, ISBN 0-933676-10-7. It has arrangements of all the true Klezmer classics eg melodies recorded by Naftule Brandwein,Abe Schwartz, Dave tarras, Harry Kandel etc

  • Really cool! I also love playing on Klezmer on mandolin - the mandolin tremolo sounds almost like the haunting strains of the oldtime Klezmer Hammered Dulcimer...

  • Go to the International section of any decent music store and you'll find plenty of klezmer music.

  • Sounds great man! I need to delve into some Klezmer. Where did you pick it up?

  • Nice very Kezmerish
