UFO? January 22, 2009 (1)

If someone can please tell me if this is Venus, Jupiter, a space station, me messing with the camera, or a UFO, I would appreciate it. If it is a planet, it should be round in shape when I zoom in, right? Please, also, notice how it changes shape at the beginning from an object with 8 angles to an elongated oval shape object.

It was filmed in Arlington (Ballston), VA at 6:15 PM on January 22, 2009. Apparently, there are recordings by others too of almost the same thing on January 22, 2009 in Southern Ohio, Mississippi, Miami and New York, and in the UK a couple of days earlier.

in the distance may look as a normal planet, but zooming in shows it is not a planet. good catch. look at my vid included as a video response: similar shape but closer (not diffraction).

Question for those who know how airplanes look at night: last night, in downtown Atla., Ga., I saw an enormous set of 6-8 very white-blue bright lights at an altitude slightly higher than other planes. In the center, there sat one huge brilliant red light. The white-blue lights seemed to strobe or blink intermittently. I raised my phone to snap a shot, but by the time I took it, the thing had literally vanished. Again, for those who know planes, what kind of craft fits this description.
