  • where did you get this CD?? i been looking everywhere for this,or do you know where i can download it from?

    this is AWESOME music!!

  • I don't have the CD. I downloaded all the tracks from an obscure French website 5 years ago. The website no longer exists.

  • Aw man. If I could find the cd, I'd buy it, no matter how much it cost. Then I'd try to arrange it.

What web site would that be?

  • It no longer exists. Though, if you do a search, you may be able to find it elswhere on the net.

  • Friggen sweet! Where the hell did you find this CD. How much was it?

  • Actually, I downloaded the music tracks from a web sit years ago.

  • I personally believe Actraiser is the greatest orchestrated music ever for a video game. The only one close to Actraiser is Castlevania's music. Northwall is still beautiful and enchanting as it was when it debuted.

  • Actraiser is still my favourite game ever.

Nothing can touch that game plus it's magical soundtrack.

    Yuzo Koshiro is a god.

  • 3:00 just making a bookmark for the awesome Northwall theme :D

  • @kenshinsavior It makes you think of watching a gentle snowfall out a window, not getting jumped at by Venus fly-traps made of ice :-p

  • I found it kind of awkward how warm and homey the music sounded while fighting giant plant monsters trying to eat me alive. At least I think that's the northwall level...

  • 3:02 hearing this tune performed by an orchestra brought a tear to my eye. Finally this absolutely beautiful song is performed the way it should be. I really hope the composer has heard this version.

  • This game had such good thematic music, and even though it was one of the earliest games released for SNES, it carried through the entire era as having some of the best music for the system, period.

  • @jvutube07 You have good taste ;-) I love Castlevania IV's music. And Actraiser's/Actraiser 2's. Plus there're also games like FF6, Super Metroid (although that one has a lot more electronica influence), and Terranigma.

CV4 is my favourite because some of the stage themes are jaw-droppingly good, but I agree that the Actraiser games are more consistently good. CV4 also had some stage themes I hated (Stage 7 for example :-p)

  • @jvutube07 I must clarify that while Actraiser had the superior soundtrack, that Castlevania IV was more fun to play and had better controls as a side scroller. Actraiser did have fantastic visuals that were on par with CV4, but they weren't quite as memorable. But to its credit, Actraiser didn't enjoy the same brand recognition either.

  • @jstephenj agree with you there 100%. Castlevania IV was good, but not as fluid like the orchestra from Actraiser. Rygar's orchestrated music was good too from the 2002 video game on PS2. Check that one out if you haven't heard already...there is one called "Arcadia" from Rygar...its very similar to Actraiser's Northwall Act 2 and pretty nice. If they ever do make Actraiser 3, I hope they use Yuzo Koshiro again for the music...

  • @jvutube07 Castlevania 4 was good but not as good as Actraiser was.
