I love how it showed that Barnes missed 0 single pins all week, but when it mattered most, he missed his first one

@spyder803300 No. However, I do not believe one should not celebrate at all. But as Pat Croce once said, everything in moderation. Yes, one can be happy with a big win, but there is no reason to over do it.

@4GPA so would i if i did it in LEAGUE. Now the tournament of champions is a totally different story. Completely different story can you at least agree w/ me on that ?
-
@spyder803300 Actually it is. There is nothing wrong with celebrating after throwing a good shot, or getting mad after a bad shot. However, it is the people who celebrate after an opponent makes a blunder that makes them an asshole. Next time an opponent of yours loses a match to you by a pin, immediately run onto the approach while they are still up there and start yelling, then high five every person you can, and see how you feel. Personally, I would feel like an asshole if I ever did that

@4GPA Ah yes Pete Weber a true professional.... this is the same guy who yells at cameramen and crotch chops his opponents. Hey look i love pete weber and norm duke. I fully respect them. I just don't see how u can call one a "true professional" and someone else who's celebrating a victory not a professional. I mean really. Was don johnson not a professional cuz on his 299 he went to his knees? That's not ordinary for a professional to do on a strike shot is it?
-
@spyder803300 Yeah, Haugen is a jerk for doing what he did. even though its not against the rules he still shouldn't have done it. he didn't have to act that way in front of Barnes, he should've waited to celebrate and not have done it the second after Chris missed the shot. Haugen's just a sore winner.

@spyder803300 Another example... During the 1991 Fair Lanes Open, Pete Weber got up and struck out in the tenth to force Del Ballard Jr. to throw two strikes and 7 pins to win the tournament. Del got the two strikes and threw a gutter ball on his fill ball to lose the tournament. What did Weber do? Well, he did not start yelling and high-fiving people in the crowd. Again, similar situation in which he almost had no shot, but still won. A true professional does not act like an asshole.

@4GPA I"m not saying it's against any rules just what he's known to do. everyone that bowls against him knows it and he knows they know it. And he's not alone they all do it it's professional bowling. Get over yourself kid it's called competition and the point is to win and to win at all costs.

@4GPA Oh yes i saw the open. I certainly did. I also have seen the match between norm duke and bryan goebel you ever seen that? look it up. and you'll see what norm duke is known for on the tour. He's year in and out voted the biggest gamesman on tour. He's known to speed up the match to unknown paces when his opponent is off the mark and slow it down to a crawl when he's on the mark to throw his opponent off. But you didn't know all of that did you? It's part of the psyche of bowling

@spyder803300 I wonder if you saw the U.S. Open from this year, when Mika Koivuniemi needed a mark in the tenth to beat Norm Duke and win the tournament when he missed a 10 pin and lost the match. And what did Norm do at that time? Well, Norm did not react like a giant asshole high fiving people in the crowd. Instead of just sat in his chair, and later in the post-game interview, Norm admitted to being shocked by what happened and said his heart went out to Mika. That is a true professional.
Tommy's made shows on all five patterns, including a win in the '07 Tournament of Champions and the U.S. Open, whose reverse block makes it the hardest pattern of the season. Watch the line he plays in the TOC, then watch him '08 Geico Classic. Not only that, but Tommy uses both a five step and three step approach when he needs to.
Tommy has just as many Player of the Year awards as Chris Barnes, and he has TWO more titles. To say that Tommy isn't versatile is laughable...

uhhhh, alrighty then!!!! Walter Ray can play inside and has played inside before! He can get around the ball when he chooses to just like Duke and Barnes. Its just that more often he'll play the straight shot cause that's what he's best at. However I would agree that Williams Jr., Barnes, and Duke are the top 3 most versatile players on the tour probably along with Tommy Jones as well.
