Ceasefire abrogation will further paralyse the LTTE Tigers

The Patriotic National Movement is of the view that LTTE terrorism will be further paralysed with the abrogation of the ceasefire. It referred to the efforts of the LTTE to build their mentality by launching attacks on the people of the South.
Addressing a media briefing in Colombo today(04/01/2008), parliamentarian Wimal Weerawansa said this is a victory achieved by the patriotic forces. The enemy forces, which contributed towards reaching this agreement, have become helpless. He urged the government to proscribe the LTTE. If so, he noted the LTTE will be isolated. As the LTTE cannot target large-scale military installations, they have reached a position of attacking any place that they can set their hands upon.

Dr. Gunadasa Amarasekera said they are delighted over the decision although it had come late. He expressed gratitude to the government for this move.
