Christi Denton is a Portland Oregon based composer and sound artist who works with found sounds, electronics, and homemade and modified instruments. In 2011, she played in the Time Based Art Festival as part of the Ten Tiny Dances/25 concert and played in and co-produced the Electrogals Festival: Gals Gone Wired. She studied at Mills College in Oakland California, and CCMIX in Paris France. She likes taking on projects that are way too big and complicated (http://www.the-compound.org). She Danielle Ross is a Portland-bred, Bay Area-trained dancer. She holds a BA in dance and performance studies from UC Berkeley and has worked with Zoe|Juniper and Linda Austin. Her latest work, To Remember Is To Jump Around There premiered in February 2012. Ross is also a founding member of FRONT, a newspaper dedicated to contemporary dance (http://daniellerossdance.com/). The LAMOSO(LAser/MOtion/SOund) was built in 2011 when Christi and Danielle collaborated for a project with Ten Tiny Dances. Thanks to Gene Kunze, Matthew Denton, Ken Denton, Cathy Denton, Heather Perkins, and Jesse Mejia for their technical expertise that helped in the realization of this instrument.
