@FormerHuman Abso-bloody-exactly. I have been defending that record since the day of it's release. I've been a fan of Cryptopsy for years, and while it certainly isn't my favourite album of theirs, how any so-called "metal fan" can sit there with a straight face and call that album "embarassing" is beyond me.

It's heavy, extreme, diverse, technical, tight as fuck and filled with great riffs licks, as well as - shock horror - some memorable verses/choruses. It's a fucking great cd.

@vomitedshit honestly... no, I don't agree. It's not my favourite (a toss up between None So Vile and Once Was Not) but I think it's got a lot going for it. The only problem is that people are upset because it was such a departure from their other albums (in some ways), people are hung up on scene's, trends and traditions but when you ignore all that bullshit, what you're left with is some heavy yet very catchy metal, which is no bad thing at all.
