Contra 3: The Alien Wars [Music] - No Man's Land

My absolute favorite of the soundtrack. The toccatas, (rapid fluctuation of high to low notes or vice-versa) crescendos (sudden rise in pitch/key/tone) and diminuendos (sudden drop of pitch/key/tone) of this song thrust you into the hostile alien lair with Bill and Lance (or, if you want to adhere to the retarded American canon, Jimbo and Sully) themselves.

It signifies that the ultimate showdown is nigh, but accentuates the uncertainty of the victor. This, my friends, is the music of stage 6.

This is the perfect mix of military snare and drumming, with sweeping sci fi elements, and is why Konami is revered for epic, soul-stirring soundtracks.
