  • Hi I noticed that punctuation marks go under the third line like a 'y' or a 'p'. Usally in writing it stays above the third line is there a real reason for doing this or is it just to be unique?

  • As other letters has a special place for themselves, the place of the punctuation marks is where you see in the clip.

  • does Copperplate need to be written holding the pen i that reverse angle? Or is that just prefrerence?

  • Hello, thank you very much for your message.

Yes it is necessary to hold the nib parallel with the slant lines but there is a kind of holders which is called oblique holder so it is not necessary for calligrapher to hold his or her holder in prallel form.
