  • hows the taste?

  • That is a good question--I used this water source, even thought it was silty, because it is a spring fed pool. the water after going through the Hyperflow was excellent

  • whats the point in a water filter if it doesnt remove viruses??? Its First Need or nothing in my book!

  • the hyperflow pumps water fine, but the instructions from MSR and the video from cascade designs gives you no idea how to really do the backflush . it was extremely frustrating. thanks for explaining this Tinny.

  • STILL FULL OF WATER! Now I see the light. I was about to smash this thing on my second attempt to backflush. Thank you for the info.

  • After using my Hyperflow for a few times I do miss my miniworks also.

  • I replaced my miniworks with the hyperflow and I really really miss the simplicity of the miniworks. I believe you need to use the hyperflow many times and often in order to have it work properly and not feel like smashing it on a rock. The learning curve is steep to obtain frustration free filtering and maintenance.

  • Looks like a pain to backflush and you could loose parts doing it, the paddle seems a bit large too. Its small and lightweight though..think I will look at the Katadyn Hiker Pro..easer to use and you can put a coffee filter or layered cheesecloth around the filter to prefilter large particals.

  • just got done with jmt. this thing was the biggest piece of shit.

  • After all these problems youve talked about do you still use this filter? I was thinking about getting one to replace my miniworks but ive seen a lot of mixed reviews.

  • I want to make a correction to this video. Around the 1:55 mark he unscrews the cylinder *while the pump inlet is still connected*. It is critical to unscrew and remove the pump inlet 1st - holding the filter upright to make sure it stays full of water, then remove cylinder, flip small valve, replace cylinder, and LASTLY replace pump inlet. next you must attach an inverted water source (like an upside-down nalgene). done this way backflushing is smooth and easy ...hope this helps!!
