DemocracyNow.org -
"We are making the world a more violent and dynamic place ... that is what global warming is about," says environmentalist Bill McKibben on Democracy Now! May 26. So far, 2011 has already become the deadliest year for tornado outbreaks in the United States since 1953 with more than 500 people killed. While audiences are seeing the warning "severe weather" increasingly flash across TV screens, little connection has been made to the role humans have played in driving climate change. McKibben
is the founder of the grassroots climate campaign 350.org and has a new article out called, "A link between climate change and Joplin tornadoes? Never!" He is also the author of many books including, "Eaarth: Making a Life on a Tough New Planet."

  • @Mauro1002 that is exactly one of the points, it is not a problem only of the spanish system for at the end we all share the same one. Same problems there are same problems here more than ever.

    Thank you

  • The welfare state is bankrupt, politicians sold even future generations by borrowing for corrupt state interventions in economy, borrowing and printing paper-money to bribe their voters who are gullible enough to expect an easy life without work or on someone else's expense.

And what the stupid crowds demand? More state intervention, more welfare, more government, more corrupt politicians to borrow, print money or steal from productive individuals for a new set of bribes till next elections.

  • This REPORT sounds just like the USA instread of SPAIN

  • Great report; the most accurate I saw so far from the international media.

  • @kurydebarcelona That was said about people like me 45 years ago and it was true, too. We were right and we were brave and strong and beautiful etc. but I (for one) did not have a deep political understanding of the behind-the-scenes forces nor did I know enough history-of-struggle to know what could work and what couldn't.We paid for that ignorance, but it was still worth it 1000x over. Those people are experiencing love thatDOES NOT EXIST outside of the revolution; will last forever.

  • honestly I don't know what to make of all this, there are so many things that are insanely wrong in Spain, but when I listen to this "spokenpersons" is nothing clear, only slogans. There is no consistency in this, it frankly looks like another gathering, another fiesta Spanish style with a political edge. That said, lets wait and see how all this evolve, but I'm not very optimistic about the Spanish youth though. Perhaps I'm wrong, I certainly hope so

  • VIVA LA ESPANA LIBRE DE LOS BANQUEROS

  • long live the free humanity!
