Get the App World client

Point your browser to mobile.blackberry.com and follow the download links (link also in the video). Once downloaded, look for the App World icon on your BlackBerry's main menu screen and clicking on it, the first screen you'll see is the Featured Items, which lets you scroll left and right through a series of recommended apps. Each has its price and star-rating displayed prominently. Click on one to visit its product page.

Scrolling down, you will be able to read a text description and browse screenshots, as well as recommending it to friends and contacting the developer's support team.

You can also browse by category.

From the Home screen, scroll down to the bottom-left folders icon - Categories - and click. You'll see a list of all the major categories and clicking on them brings up the sub categories.

Each individual genre sub-category works the same way - you get a Find section at the top where you can type in a title, or you can scroll down through a big list, again with their prices and star ratings displayed.

The final way to discover apps on the App World is its search screen - the third icon on the Home screen.

Simply type in a word or title, and it'll bring up a list of matching apps.

Once you have decided on which app to download, clicking on the 'download' button brings up the download screen, showing a progress bar.

Once downloaded, the App will automatically install itself onto your BlackBerry.
