For me this is the best Greek "song" of the last century. This is why Dimitris Papaioannou chose this music for the closing ceremony of the Olympic Games in Athens 2004.

@ChanaRules ...more about this composer, well he's very famouse in greece, he's done music for Theater and cinema among other things, his most famous song is "the children of Pireaus" for the film never on sunday by jules dassin, he's spent a few years in america and has made music for the "NY rock and roll ensamble", he was head of the classical radiostation in greece, and has also done a few very interesting classical works himself.

What a beautiful lyrics...touching melody... greek music is very interesting!
