Twenty years ago my friends and I used to barefoot in the lakes of either side of that channel. We would often "joke" about barefooting through it. I can't believe that someone finally pulled it off. Had the driver or either of the "footers" mis-calculated anything, it would have been catastrophic. The useable water in that channel is less than ten feet wide (and four feet deep).
