i can really appreciate religious moderates like this guy. I'm agnostic/ atheist/ whatever i should be called, to know that there are rational thinkers in religious groups is nice. they know they share the world with people of all sorts of backgrounds and they dont attack them for it. better yet they dont shove there religion down others throats.

What's this guy's name?

@Eternalsummersong i will tell you it was epic but i cryed a lot lol. and yeah i keep my views to myself in situations like that
-
@animewarrior08: I really want to see the last part of the movie...."sigh" looks like I have to wait for the Blue-ray....I don't question the speaking in tongues unless it happens every time I go to church. It sounds more like babbling in a weird language sometimes it sounds like Latin.
-
@Eternalsummersong yeah well i asked a propocy church of God person what the heck it was and he said that they were just talking really fast lol. And yes Harry Potter is awesome i saw the last movie the day it came out. and it is sad that she picks on fictional characters
-
@animewarrior08: I don't speak in tounges but I was taught that is is a gift from God and cannot be taught my anyone you either have the gift or you don't it cannot be forced on a child and if it is then it's fake. There is another gift it is the one that translates it. As for Harry Potter....I'm a huge fan of the books and the movies are pretty good too. It's a bit pathetic that she likes to pick on fictional characters. The woman is a lunatic in my opinion.

@Eternalsummersong yeah she does and that kid doing the sermon, in my church kids dont do the sermon lol, i also dont believe in the speaking in tounges thing(no offensive if you do) it just never made sense to me. And I hate what she sdaid about Harry Potter lol i love the series

@animewarrior08: My mother hasn't been right since. These children just cannot understand what could and can happen when pregnant many things can and have gone wrong ending in women having to abort or....carry the child and both die. And then there is the cardboard cut out of George Bush! It looked to me that they were praying to him. The Jesus Camp movie disturbed me. And she does make all of us true Christians look bad I agree with you 100%
-
@animewarrior08: Thank goodness!! I've had a LOT of arguments against some people who actually take up for her. To teach a child about abortion and ALL abortion is evil. I'm pro life...BUT my mother had an Ectopic pregnancy....it almost killed her my grandfather had to carry her into the hospital and he was covered with her blood they had to take her straight to surgery to abort the baby. It was developed enough from what I heard that they could tell it would have been a boy. Mom was heartbroken
This is probably going to another one of those 3 star rating videos. The host is a theist (thumbs down) but he's speaking out against the brainwashing (thumbs up). Mixed feelings in my opinion.

He has a right to believe whatever he wants, and because he understands that others also have that right, is not trying to shove it down our throat, and is speaking out against wrong doings, why would anyone care that he is a theist?
He seems like a good person, and that should be what counts. If more religious people were like him, I would not have a single problem with religion, ever.

@village1diot
Good point. People might care that he's a theist because he has influence. He's an adult who might have kids who would most likely be influenced by what he believes. But I suppose if he isn't brainwashing or preaching, lets people make up their own mind and doesn't mix God and evolution then that is a good thing. You've heard of the creationist museum right? Well I just don't want children being taught distorted facts of reality. I hope I made my point clear.

Two things
You may have the wrong idea about most Christians. The majority of them don't let their religion interfere with education. I was raised Christian and never did my parents tell me that creationism was correct. Nor did they even accept it. I did not know a single person whose parents did. So assuming all Christians are creationists is just like a Christian assuming all atheists are scientists.
And I am not trying to defend Christians because I think it is despicable.
Secondly...

The video is about the children that we know are being harmed, what this guy has to say about it, and how Christians should react to this disgrace. What he does with his children is not known and therefor irrelevant to this video. We can't assume anything about him.
So, though I agree with you about everything you said, I just don't think it has much to do with the context of this video.
So voting low would only keep this video from being shown and would be harmful to our message.

Is the host of the station a christian? He seems very anti-theist to me though he said a few things that made it sound like he was a theist...

Yes, he is Christian. A rational Christian who deserves a lot of credit for speaking out against this stuff. Kudos to him.
