"It's Possible I've Gone Too Far" || MAY

A lot of people have no idea about this sleeper, but it's one of my favorite movies ever, needless to say one of my favorite horror films. "May" is a sad, sweet, creepy, and thoroughly unsettling character study about May, a really, REALLY strange girl with a desperate need for companionship. She was born with a lazy eye, and as such was shunned throughout her childhood. She has never had a real friend except for the doll her mother made for her as a child (which has never been out of its glass case). She has never been kissed or had any trace of a romantic relationship.

In the film, May embarks on her first few human relationships, most noticeably with a boy whom she initially believes is perfect and her sexually forward lesbian coworker - and finds herself devastatingly disappointed when they inevitably hurt her. May resolves that there are no perfect people in the world, but she does notice that there are PARTS of individuals that are perfect. And if she takes all of these perfect parts from all of these people and puts them all together, she can make herself the perfect friend.

Long story short: May kills a bunch of people, cuts them up, and sews parts of them together to make a human doll to keep her company.

This is an entry for LoveMeDeadlyStudios, a MEP group dedicated to horror films. I really thought hard about what film I wanted to use for my audition video, because I'm a HUGE horror buff. However, I tend to really, really hate horror remakes and most modern horror films and adore foreign horror, cult classics, etc. etc. Even though I doubt most people have seen "May," it's a brilliant film and I really hope I did it justice here.

You made me interested in seeing this movie, since I really like those kind of weird movies, and this looks kind of like Donnie Darko or something like that xD I'm ranting, really liked the video. The coloring looks great, and the emotions you convey gave me chills, really well done :)

@NoDelinquent If you like Donnie Darko, you'll probably like May. It's really strange, not only in content but also because of how much sympathy you have for the title character. I won't lie; it's sometimes painful to watch because she's such a sad, pathetic character, and some of the gore at the end is really brutal. But it's a great movie with really excellent performances and I'd highly recommend it.

perfect compact of scenes from this work of art it iots fin my opinion one of the best horrror/gora movie it beats the crap out of many of the new guts films that have been released lately i see it for the firts time when a child hahaah and since then i have been searching for her again and plzz if u know answer me this do u know if posible the name or the place where i can find the sountrack with the children singing that creepy laolala lala chant is one of the best sountracks for horror movi

Great video! May is absolutely one of my favorite films. It's an underrated gem and I agree that it's really touching (oddly so). Angela Bettis gives a brilliant performance.
