That is not what he is saying..what is is saying that often times black churches shut themselves off from certain worship songs because they do not open themselves up to different genres and styles. The beautiful thing is God's people love him and will seek to worship him so these great songs will become worship songs not black or white

I totally agree! The third person that commented must not have really listened to what you said....they just heard BLACK CHURCH...we do NOT in the majority of our ministries sing this song....many of our churches are still very traditional, and don't like "wordy" songs....I hate to say it, but some don't like a lot of "Word" either. Just shoutin all the time!! This is the hour that God wants to reveal himself and bust all traditions wide open. Thank you for being a carrier of that light! :-)

i love this clip. just for the first 20 seconds! I hate that there's such a strong dividing line between cultures and genres in Christianity. i think alot of churches miss out because we're singing all the top 40 gospel hits but don't know one complete contemporary christian song...if you put some of the lyrics alone up on a screen without one note played people could read them and go into worship. Read the lyrics to Chris Tomlin's "Indescribable"... we're missing out...
