@lincbond442 Mid 30's. This is when I used to see it on tv in the mid 80's. KTVU/Bay Area.

Your post reminds me of something that Fred said during the first season of the "Flintstones"! He and Barney wanted to take the neighbor's infant son Eggbert to the fights. Fred responded to the situation with, "why not? with a name like that, he should learn how to fight!" A typical Fred Flintstone line!

That is really facinating! Thank you very much for the response!

No, not syndicated, the wanted to use Australian words and accents- and to use local children. We do get Sesame Street- but we also have segments with our own Australian muppet, Ollie.

Thank you for the reply! I figured that you were from an English Speaking country given how accurate your spelling and word usage is. Furthermore, I have a sister-in-law from Canada.

Gypsey Jo? Oh my lord...god help her through school! lol

The Canadian "Romper Room" emphasised tolerance, respect, and self-esteem. IMO that should be what is taught to kids first and foremost. There is plenty of time for everything else. Have a nice day.
