I sneeked off work to watch this.Micro switch fault preventing gear door going up.

I can remember vividly the Vulcan taking part in the annual RAF St Athan air display in Barry South Wales in the early 90s.
The noise whilst taxing and takeoff was incredible.
I can also remember a Vulcan being available for sale parked on the tarmac for a number of years but the only problem then was you had to pay to move it and have the spare £8 million to do it up.
Money well spent i think but how much was the fuel bill to fly them during the Falklands crisis in the early 80ies.

I remember watching this aircraft at the Leuchars airshow in the early 90's. Just the sound of it at take off is one that still puts a chill down my spine. Cant wait to see it again. Thanks for posting
