This is a great edc companion to your larger blade. Very similar to the Spyderco Ladybug but larger in size the Manbug is a great all around knife. Highly recommended.

  • How well does this knife do on a keychain? The Ladybug and Jester are a perfect size for a keychain knife; they blend right in adding little extra bulk or weight.

I really like the blade grind and added functionality of the Manbug but it would have to be a keychain knife for me (otherwise why not carry at least a Dragonfly!) I am worried it is too big to be inobtrusive on a keychain.

Always enjoy the reviews. Your new brilliant white background makes it feel like a PBS science special!

  • @classof77 I dont like to carry anything larger than a Spyderco Bug on my keys. A lady bug is not too large but I feel that the Manbug adds just a little more bulk and therefore would not work (IMO) as a keychain knife. It is still a great knife but I like to carry it as a secondary blade inside my pocket. Thanks for the kind words.

  • Excellent overview man. Truly professional presentation. I hope Spyderco sends you a box of chocolates on your birthday, at least. I always like the macro shots too.

  • @noBuzzkillin I could go for some chocolates!! Thanks for the kind words and I appreciate you stopping by.

  • Are there liners or is it just the handle scales?

  • @ThePumpkinthecat There are no liners on the Manbug. It is only the FRN handle scales.

  • Good review -- I myself find that my favourite size for an EDC knife is about 3.75 inch closed but I have a couple 3.5 inch also .

Not that I use them for self defense by any means but a blade any smaller can not cut an apple right through in one cut .-- So I prefer the Delica & they are about the same price .

I also find Key chain knives hard to use since the Keys get in the way.

Last point the knife is good but not $65 dollars good for the size -- try a Boker keycom for

    $20 bucks it cuts nice

  • @WeaversofEternity Thanks for the kind words.

  • Excellent review man, the production value of your videos are great!

  • @ThinBlueLine1969 Thanks.
