Video of the Storm That Delayed the Start of Jets-Vikings 10/11/2010

This video was taken from the ramp inside the Metlife Gate showing the storm that hit before kickoff of Jets vs. Vikings at New Meadowlands Stadium on 10/11/10. Because of the lightning, the game that was scheduled to kickoff at 8:35pm was delayed for 40 minutes. The video pretty much sums up why...

Fans entering the gates were standing under any overhang they could find, including the ones over the "turnstiles". Fans also took shelter inside the pedestrian overpass tunnel than runs over Route 120 to the Izod Center.

Stadium staff came out and had to secure any freestanding structure from the plaza area, as 20-foot cardboard displays quickly became flying debris.

Yeah, great storm. I was walking the lot looking for tickets. I got friggin SOAKED. Worth it in the end as I found two for $200 ($10 below face value).
