NO! A GP38AC is pretty much a GP38 with a AR10 alternator instead of a generator.
First production in 1970.

Yes, but it makes no sense to me to have an AC Geep, lol.

It's a Just like how a AC4400CW, Is a Dash-9, just with AC instead of DC. Same thing for the GP38ACs.
