Photographer Cedric Gerbehaye of VU Photo Agency traveled to Southern Sudan on a Magnum Emergency Fund. There he visited Doctors Without Borders/Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) clinics and documented the humanitarian situation in advance of the referendum.

Southern Sudan is scheduled to vote on independence from the North on January 9, 2011.

  • Wow! I love these photo's by Cedric Gerbehaye's from South Sudan. Thanks for sharing.

  • It's a good thing the MSF exists, but sadly even their work doesn't seem enough to handle helping victims of the civil war (which had just ended a few years ago).
