United Nations, New York, 15 June 2009 - The Director-General of the World Health Organisation, Dr Margaret Chan says U.S. President Barack Obama has his health priorities right. She welcomed the President's renewed support for the treatment and alleviation of diseases like HIV and AIDS, along with Malaria and other tropical diseases.
Dr. Chan was responding to press questions about President Barack Obama's plans to overhaul the American healthcare system.
Dr Chan was addressing the media following the opening session of the Secretary-General's Forum on Advancing Global Health in the Face of Crisis.
