creativity died ever since

It's like, they used to think kids were smarter. Stuff is simpler now.

@983215ljhlkadbspig6y Hell I'd watch that.
-
@loogle They should definitely do that, and include all the old comercials that aired at that time too.

@loogle omg yes....I'd pay to see all of ytv's past shows....they'd have thousands of canadians willing to pitch over their money for a potent shot of nostalgia.

Yeah I just missed the slogan.

A programming block like The Vault probably wouldn't be possible on today's YTV. That block had Reboot and Beast Wars (two shows that changed the face of CG animation in the 90's, and were both critically acclaimed), a pre-DS9 Nicole De Boer in Deepwater Black (which was basically BSG for kids), Goosebumps (one of the few anthology shows that lived up to its source material) and Buffy The Vampire Slayer (which is still a classic).
Now it's just second-run Nickelodeon crap and bad reality shows.
I wish YTV would launch a "YTV Retro" channel and use all their old mid 90s bumpers and run the same shows that we saw back then. It would be cool to even see them run old segments of The Zone, Shift, Brain Wash, or The Treehouse even though they'd all be entirely outdated.

I think this was the year they were starting to aim for the teenage boy demographic. Eventually it returned to children's programming.
