Most classic beats dont take TOO much..but those are usually the best. It's not as easy as it might sound though when you try to create from scratch a classic, yet simple beat.
It's funny that he says he was inspired by Nas's "The World Is Yours" Pete Rock version... but the vocal sample comes from the Q-Tip remix (Nas doesn't say "dead fucking presidents to represent me" on the Pete Rock version only "dead presidents to represent me")
