Nurgle's power within the pantheon of hte Chaos gods is inextricably linked to his workings in the mortal realm. When disease and pestilence are rife, then the Lord of Decay's influence is at its height. The very nature of Nurgle's power is such that it will inevitably consume all of its victims and leave few survivors to perpetuate the contagion. At this point the plague god's might wanes and his plans falter. But one thing is certain: the plague is never truly eradicated, and its spores are often spread far and wide before exploding into yet another epidemic, when once again Nurgle's legions are swelled with the grotesque living dead. Call me crazy, but I think the best example of a Nurglite cultist would be the baron form the movie "Dune", celebrating his diseases and not really "suffering" in the way you might expect. I guess it would be kinda like seeing someone w/ leprosy and eyeballing them jealously. >.>' Plus he exudes that almost patronly feeling that "Gran'pa Nurgle" would have... Scary. At least Khorne isn't all creepy.

out of all the ruinous powers, I like nurgle the best. I admire khorne's clarity of purpose, but nurgle's jovial nature is just wonderful coming from a being called a god of chaos
