  • 1820s isn't Victorian. Fail.

  • I endeavour u 2 check out the amazing video "My Favourite Time of Year" on my channel by The Florin St Band if you love Christmases of yesteryear. It's a NEW Christmas music video filmed at Blists Hill Victorian Town in Telford, Shropshire. The purity of the song & magic of the video coupled together leave u wishing u were in the video. I don't know how Leigh Haggerwood did it but he somehow captured the essence of Christmas (before commercialisation) & gave us a glimpse of bygone days. Enjoy :)

  • A fascinating insight into christmases long past.Nowadays the event has been sidelined in favour of huge overcommercialisation and greed,oh and debt in order to fund it.I'm not particularly religious but it makes me shudder when even the very mention of Christmas in public has been vetoed by some Councils in favour of wishy-washy terms such as Winterfest of WinterWonderland seemingly so as to not offend non-christians! Bah,humbug to that is what I say.
