You know, if you're gonna get that many cowboys out to brand so few cattle why not just build a corral and chute "the old school way"? Sure branding for transparency of ownership yada yada, but try looking at it like this: The little bastard's scrotum wasn't even disinfected (I hope to god a anti-biotic was used). Then when they rope and drag them. Just twisted. I know there's a history here but the folks in this video don't seem to realize their stock is alive. And a mule? Alright?
@cheerfulchip197 You know, branding occurs for a reason. Especially in places where there are a lot of cows, it's important to know which are yours in case they break out, mix with others, etc. It also prevents against rustling. It isn't just out of pure cruelty. Ranchers have to take care of their cows well, have to. I hear what you are saying, but cows have a pretty good lot in life. Ranchers have to take care of them, or they are out of business. Branding is an exception to all of it.

You know, freeze branding systems are available today. They work extremely well and don't cause pain. They also don't result in damage to the hide.
