Here is a video I took of our plane taxiing up to the gate and the Jetway being attached. Video was taken at gate A5 in Chicago Midway Airport. This was our plane back to Minneapolis/St. Paul Airport.

I had to remove sound because my family was having a conversation that you could clearly hear in the background- and I'm sure they probably wouldn't want the world hearing about it. Plus the sound quality wasn't that good anyways.

Enjoy!

  • are there automatic jetways? I just watched a video of an a240 and there was no one controlling the jetway in the picturte, does that happen behind the scenes or are is there some type mechanism in place to do it automatically

  • Well the gate I recorded there was someone controlling it. I've never heard of an automatic jetway before...

  • is this at KORD?

  • No, KMDW/Midway btw- it's in the description ;)

  • im goin on nwa embraer 175 from minneapolis to charlotte how is the flight it my first time goin on the plane i always fly on dc9 or a310 or 1320 or crj or 757

  • It pretty nice, these planes are pretty new so it's nice and clean too. It was almost a year since I've flew on one of these airplanes, and my flight was only 50 minutes going from Minneapolis to Chicago. The only thing that really bothered me was we got some pretty decent turbulence on our decent into the city which kinda shook the plane around a lot but nothing too serious.

  • @tim2286 the person can also be under the jetway or in other places, not always just inside the entrance

  • @ToastersAreEvil my mother actually works at an airport. and has too drive the aerobridge, it is infact driven by humans.

  • @ataramprat Hehehe I Wish I Have That Job

  • holy crap, just what is that ramp agent doing? I was a ramp agent for Delta 10 years ago. that is NOT how to bring in an airplane to the jetway. I should know so, i've brought in planes to the jetway before. unless they have their own way of doing it here. still doesn't look right.

  • @tim2286 The person operating it is inside near where the passengers get out.

  • ESE jetway baja muy lento

  • im flying to midway soon on compass flight 2017, ive been on an embraer 175 with northwest before and i look forward to getting back on one of these great birds.
