i love this song and i love everlast...but...

my father-figure, a close family friend and my uncle wayne are all in the army,and my best friend cousin and my brother are going to join. we should be very grateful to our soldiers,some of them AREN'T proud of the unneeded deaths that happen..but they risk they're lives to keep us safe ndlts face it, a lot of people over there want us dead.

love our soldiers.

@Edgar25704 In God We Trust was not the national motto and found on currency until 1956 as an effort to undermine the communist state. Same goes for the Pledge of Allegiance. To me, the quoted part of the song says that he's doing things that go against his nature for a so-called greater good, and he hopes his government is doing the same, but that's a mighty tall glass of hope.

@kateywilliams32 Do you believe that soldiers killing people are somehow redeemed when the bible says that you should not kill? I have some family members in the armed forces who are far more devout and religious than I ever could be, and these are the thoughts that plague them.

"We all wind up on the same side, cause ain't none of us doing God's will." I think that is a very prolific statement from Everlast in this song.

The rich, powerful, and tyrannical: always w$nn$ng. Governments or multinational corporations; there is no difference. It's all about money and power. None of them truly give as shit if push comes to shove and that's the truth all fucking day long. The real war in the world is rich versus poor. Race, color, creed, religion is all smoke and mirrors; excuses. It's all bullshit hype. They want the money and the world to be the way they want it and to be at the top like a "god". End of story.
