On Sunday, June 29, the site of the old Fulton Fish Market in downtown New York was the scene for a a new market populated by local New York farmers, cheese mongers, bread makers, and assorted popsicle aficionados. Conde Nast Traveler's Mollie Chen and Julia Bainbridge braved the heat and the noise from the highway to nibble and nosh their way through some of the best locally-produced food the region had to offer.

  • Nice Video, my only question is this. The fish market was forced to move out because of unsafe structures and the unsanitary conditions. Why is it being used again as an openair market, new buidings, NO. Safer structures, NO. Cleaner structures and walkways, NO. The city just wanted the fish to go away, after 185 years. Now it is another tourist attraction. They just wanted the real estate for other monetary gains.
