VW Golf GTI on Air Suspension

eurotuner magazine has fitted an air suspension system to its 2003 VW GTI using Air Lift's latest kit. You can read all about the installation in the June 2010 issue, with a step-by-step guide on how to do it. according to the build page, it is 3/8th's but WOW that is quick.

I'm debating coil overs or air suspension. I have pretty bad winter and roads, I was wondering how the ride is with air suspension and how reliable it is? Any opinions?
