Miami Beach Memorial Day Shooting May 30th 2011, cellphone video

Images of last week's fatal police shooting in Miami Beach have been released.
Here you see footage recorded on a cell phone by Narces Benoit.
The police are surrounding a car driven by Raymond Herisse. Then they started firing at the 22-year-old.
Herisse was killed, three officers and four bystanders were injured.
Benoit and his girlfriend, Ericka Davis, are accusing authorities of destroying evidence and intimidation.
They say the only reason this video is still around because they were able to hide a memory card before authorities smashed the phone that captured this incident.
They have hired a lawyer, saying they "want the right thing to be done."

Cops have to be able to use lethal force if they suspect that someone who HAS ALREADY SHOWN VIOLENCE TOWARDS THEM might do so again. It's their lives on the line. They're approaching the car of someone who had apparently already tried to kill them.

On the flip-side, pointing a gun at a civilian, because they filmed you doing it? Fuck that noise. Those cops deserve to be prosecuted to the full extent of the law they're supposed to uphold.

Fuck them. No worse than criminals for that.

He did not have a weapon in the car...I live in Miami and know all about this story...the car itself they said was considered a deadly weapon. He was unarmed and should not have been killed. Dude would not turn off his car so a officer shot causing a chain reaction of gun fire by officers
