The Love Squeeze is a compressor designed simply to sound right with guitars, without any bizarre "pumping" effects and without any noise.
This has been achieved by designing a circuit from scratch instead of adopting the more common approach of using an operational transconductance amplifier (for tech heads, it's usually the CA3080 chip) or simply copying an existing design (like some American boutique makers have done) and gives the Love Squeeze a sound of its own.

  • @rothwellaudio It gets in the way by psychoacoustic temporal and dynamic masking effects. If I were doing the demo, I'd be in an anechoic chamber.

That said, I've looked at your circuit, and it's a really excellent design. Using a diode pump to throttle a JFET in an op-amp loop is super clever!

  • This one sounds more like Mad professor comp which means it's better then Keeley one.

  • @bluesmann8 It's all good, didn't think you were busting anyone's chops. The Love Squeeze was designed to be as transparent a compressor as possible hence showing as part of a usable everyday rig.

  • @bluesmann8 Can't please everyone. Thanks for watching though.

  • @bluesmann8 Not sure how a little reverb and delay gets in the way of a compressor, it's a pretty natural way to run a rig but we're sorry if you found it less than pleasing.

  • i've seen of the shoot out videos and so far this is THE most transparant one i've heard. i think i might have to invest in one. Fantastic product guys. Btw What amp mic and interface are you using thanks. i realise it might be a bit of an ask but i figure if i dont ask i'll just be left wondering thanks

  • Best compressor ever!

  • I am seriously thinking about getting one of these :) I have an atomic boost pedal which is great!

  • Good vid, checking out this comp in person soon.very transparent with the cleaner stuff,I like to kick the comp on and off and like the consistency in eq
